On Friday morning, Assad war planes have launched several raids on Assalam association area in Qudsaia city, where hundreds of thousands of civilians reside. The raids hit a residential community when worshippers were leaving mosques after Friday prayers; a thing that led to more than 11 fatalities and massive destruction in residential buildings. In addition, 30 persons were also injured as a result of the attack, most of the cases are in critical conditions. Most of the victims of the raids were women and children.
Not far from Qudsaia, in neighboring Al Hameh city, civilians were also the targets of regime snipers; Mohamed Bi'yun, the owner of Al Hamثا bakery, that provides bread for thousands of people, was killed yesterday with a sniper shot.
Assad forces has further worsened the situation in both Qudsaia and Al Hameh when they closed all the checkpoints surrounding the two cities; thus, enforcing a very tight siege on the city.
