Meanwhile, the western front was the scene of skirmishes between the FSA and regime forces. The remaining combat fronts witnessed small-arm skirmishes and mutual sniper operations.

The people of Daraya continue to suffer under the siege due to absolute lack of food, medical and fuel supplies with the approaching winter. Meanwhile, the city has been without power, communications or drinking water for 12 consecutive months.
More than 6,600 civilians are surviving on little rice and some local produce. There is a dire need for baby milk and dairy products. The city is still home to around 600 children including 50 young children born during the siege.
