Forces at checkpoints throughout the city continued to stop and search passersby, and a number of "pop-up" checkpoints were set up today. In al-Marabet neighborhood, regime forces arrested a man who was driving his car, while a number of passersby were stopped and questioned.
At 3 p.m., regime forces raided al-Sabouneya neighborhood. They searched two houses belonging to members of the Hawwa family, and arrested one man and his two sons. They arrested six other young men from the street, and beat them. Regime forces near al-Zagha junction were seen beating men in the street, but did not make any arrests. At around 5 p.m., smoke was seen rising from the Jouret Hawwa area, but we have not received any information as to what the cause was.
