|| Situation in Hama and its Suburbs ||
¤ Hama City:
Regime forces at the Hama Military Airport launched many rockets toward the northern and northwestern suburbs of the city today. Late last night, security forces in al-Andalus neighborhood arbitrarily arrested residents, and this afternoon, they deployed in al-Jezdan and al-Taweel Market, where they searched shops and made some arrests. Al-Faraya neighborhood was stormed from three directions as well.
In the evening:
A fire broke out on al-Baghdadi Street in al-Shree'a neighborhood next to Fatafeet Restaurant. Firetrucks came to put out the fire, after which security forces deployed around the hospital in the medical center. Security forces also raided a house near Faisal al-Rukbi Roundabout and made some arrests.
¤ Suburbs of Hama:
Northern Suburbs:
Yesterday night, regime forces committed a massacre in the town of al-Shaikh Hadeed, executing 12 people, among them women and children. Some were killed by a firing squad while others were slaughtered using knives. Many people were wounded as well.
Today, aerial and rocket shelling of Kafarzeita was reported, as was aerial shelling of al-Latamne which left a number of people, including children, wounded.
Shelling of Shahshabo Mountain and al-Toubeh village from the Tal Othman checkpoint continued as well, as opposition fighters continue to wage attacks on regime checkpoints in the area.
Kafarzeita:
Today, the Air Force dropped explosive barrels on Kafarzeita as forces at checkpoints on the ground fired rockets and artillery shells onto the city. Residential neighborhoods were directly struck in the attacks. Also, the city has been without bread for 20 consecutive days now and without power for 3 days.
Eastern Suburbs:
This morning, opposition forces liberated the Salameh village and captured Shilka artillery
Salamieh:
Tareq Haidar was arrested by Popular Committee forces this afternoon.
Western Suburbs:
A number of mortar shells fired by regime forces struck the villages of Qabr Fedda and al-Ramleh
