|| Situation in Hama and its Suburbs ||
¤ Hama City:
This morning, Assad regime forces raided Tareeq Halab neighborhood and made a number of arrests. In al-Qusour neighborhood, regime forces set up a "pop-up" checkpoint near the Qasabashi Roundabout. They arrested 4 people, one of whom was not carrying his ID, and another one who was not carrying his military service record. The people of Hama continue to struggle, as the city has been without water for 32 consecutive days. Power outages are increasing in frequency and duration, and inflation is on the rise.
¤ Hama Countryside:
Kafarzeita:
Regime helicopters dropped TNT barrels onto the city today, while forces at nearby checkpoints simultaneously fired rockets onto the city. Two people were killed, including a woman, and massive structural damage was reported. Shelling was renewed in the evening as well. Also, Kafarzeita has been without bread for 16 days now, and witnesses frequent power outages throughout the day.
Al-Ghab Plain:
Al-Hawweeja village was subject to artillery shelling from al-Raseef checkpoint.
Helfaya:
Intense shelling of the checkpoints adjacent to Helfaya toward villages in the northern suburbs was reported. A number of shells struck the city's cemetery.
Kafranbooda:
The town was subject to intense shelling from all checkpoints in the surrounding area.
Tayebt al-Imam:
Intense shelling from al-Qabban checkpoint, east of the city, toward the north was reported. Also, clashes took place to the west of the city.
Al-Zlaqeyat:
Helicopters dropped TNT barrels onto the town.
Al-Latamne:
Casualties fell as a result of shelling from al-Khazanat checkpoint.
Eastern Suburbs:
A helicopter dropped TNT barrels on Tuffaha and al-Samaqa villages, while regime forces in al-Sayada launched artillery shells onto Dahsh, Aneeq Bajra and Abu al-Kusour. Artilleryand rocket shelling of Barri Sharqi was also reported.
Salamieh:
A group of forces from the regime's Popular Committees opened fire onto a car, killing the driver and then placing his corpse in the trunk of their car.
