|| Situation in the City and Countryside ||
¤ Hama City:
For the 22nd consecutive day, the water outage in Hama city continues. Power outages throughout the day are becoming more frequent and longer, and internet connections are also sometimes down. Regime forces continue to provide reinforcements to their checkpoints, adding barriers and increasing the number of forces present.
In Tareeq Halab neighborhood today, security forces deployed in the area near al-Huda Mosque and raided some houses. They also searched people passing through checkpoints.
¤ Hama Countryside:
Salamieh:
Dr. Ali Mazen Hammoud was arrested at 8 p.m. last night while present in the streets of the city. He was transferred to the central prison in Hama this morning. Also, security forces and shabiha stopped two young men in the street of Salamieh today and beat them severely before kidnapping them and heading to an unknown location.
Kafranbooda:
Heavy shelling of Kafranbooda by regime forces was reported.
Eastern Suburbs:
A number of villages in Hama's eastern suburbs were subject to intense aerial and artillery bombardment. Qasr ibn Wardan and Tewal Dabaghain witnessed heavy artillery shelling, as Abu Hanaya and Mkaimen were bombarded both aerially and with artillery shells.
Khattab:
Adel al-Shaikh Khattab, age 36, was arrested by shabiha from Arzeh in front of his house last night. He is married with children, and was taken to an unknown location.
Northern Suburbs:
The siege of al-Zlaqeyat checkpoint by opposition fighters continues after they destroyed one of the buildings there. Clashes are going amid shelling from the Deir Mharde checkpoint onto the surrounding area, in an attempt by the regime to break the siege. At one point, a regime aircraft dropped an explosive barrel on the area.
Soran:
Mustafa Yaseen Aarabi, age 18, was arrested at a regime checkpoint on September 5. He was on his way to check on his farmlands.
M'aardes:
Assad regime forces and shabiha stormed M'aardes, raided and looted houses and arrested a number of people. We have received confirmation that the following men were arrested:
1. Ayed al-Shaikh Ali
2. Ahmed Abdulkareem al-Shaikh
Also, the forces raided Bahjat Mohammad al-Kassar's house. When they didn't find him, they raided and totally looted his shop.
Zayzoun:
Artillery shelling of Zayzoun village, al-Ghab Plain was reported this evening.
Kafarzeita:
Today was the 2nd day without power and water in Kafarzeita amid a lack of bread for six days now. The city was subject to artillery shelling from the Lahaya checkpoint, south of Kafarzeita, today. Also, regime aircraft dropped explosive barrels on the southern side of the city.
