It was set up a month and a half ago, when the regime gained control of the area.
Afterward, fighters moved toward the road leading to Homs, where there are several villages under regime control. Intense clashes broke out at the outskirts of Eqeirbat, and regime forces retreated toward Souha and Barri.
The regime sent reinforcements comprising ammunition and vehicles to the artillery battalion in Barri village on Salamieh road. It is important to note that a regime aircraft launched an attack on villages east of Eqeirbat.
