Cautious calm interrupted by mutual sniper operations and B10 shelling prevailed on most fronts. Artillery shelling targeted houses and buildings in western and southern areas as well as the vicinity of Sukaina Shrine inflecting further damage and destruction.
Regime forces continued sending tanks and military vehicles through the eastern entrance to the city in order to supply its troops with food and ammunition; a military convoy including 5 tanks, 4 BMP vehicles, in addition to several DShK-mounted trucks and troop carries entered the city.
***Humanitarian situation***
The city of Daraya has been under a tight siege for over 9 consecutive months which left the city completely cut off from the outside world. The situation is only getting worse as food and fuel supplies are not allowed in while electricity and water are also cut off. Flour has also run out which made the situation even more disastrous for the remaining residents of Daraya. Meanwhile, the medical situation is deteriorating as the unrelenting daily shelling against the city causes daily casualties.
Over 300,000 people had to escape the city to safer areas due to shelling and the barbaric campaign against the city. These displaced people are living in horrible conditions due to poverty, lack of food and soaring market prices.
