Most fronts witnessed cautious calm during the day interrupted only by mutual sniper operations and skirmishes.
As usual, a military convoy from Al-Mazzeh Airport headed towards the city with tanks, vehicles and troops. Meanwhile, regime helicopters flew over the city.
Most areas controlled by the FSA received rocket and artillery shelling especially the western areas.
***Humanitarian situation***
The city has been under tight siege for 8 months causing acute shortages in medical and food supplies as well as a complete blackout of electricity, water and communications.
Thousands of civilians including women and children are still trapped inside the city in dire need for the basic life necessities. The city has been without bread for over two months due to the absence of flour.
Hundreds of wounded persons including young children, under 1 year old, are in extreme need for medicine and medical care. Field hospitals are simply not capable to meet all these needs amid these tragic circumstances.
