|| Situation in the City and Countryside ||
¤ Hama City:
This morning, shabiha raided Bab Qibli neighborhood, and broke into and looted more than 15 houses. They arrested about 15 young men. In Tareeq Halab, they searched and destroyed the houses of civilians, but no arrests were reported. Security forces also raided al-Hamedeya neighborhood and arrested civilian residents.
Regime forces also deployed in Karm al-Horani, on al-Marabet Street and in al-Souq area. Regime forces confiscated about 10 internal public transport vehicles, to be used by shabiha for their transportation needs.
Internet services were partially disconnected in some parts of Hama today, as warplanes continue to fly to and from the Hama Military Airport.
In the evening, regime forces at the Buraq checkpoint were seen roaming around Tareeq Halab al-Jadeed, until they reached Fatima al-Zahra Mosque.

Economic Report:
Prices of food staples continue to rise, as does the exchange rate between the Syrian Pound and western currencies.
For the last eight days, the international road between Hama and Aleppo has been closed off, preventing people from traveling or transporting goods between the two cities. One of the reasons is the increase in cost of staples, gold, and the dollar. Prices are also on the rise in Aleppo, where there is a shortage of bread, diesel and vegetables. For the last two months, the people of Hama and Aleppo have been unable to transfer funds between the cities, at both private and public banks. This is a form of mass punishment conducted by the regime for the people of Aleppo.
