*** Recent developments on the ground***
The city witnessed cautious calm on most fronts interrupted by mutual sniper operations and light weapons’ clashes on the western front. Meanwhile, the western and southern areas were shelled by tanks located along Jedaidat Sahnaya Road and from Muaddamiya Mountains. Helicopters continued to fly over the city while some city centre neighbourhoods witnessed mortar shelling from Al-Mazzeh Military Airport which caused several injuries.

*** Humanitarian situation***
The humanitarian situation is beyond belief. The twin cities of Daraya and Muaddamiya have been under tight siege for more than 8 months. The remaining inhabitants are suffering acute shortages in food and medical supplies amid a total black out of electricity, water and communications.
The suffering of the displaced Darayans is increasing on a daily basis, especially those in neighbouring towns. More than 200,000 displaced people face unimaginable difficulties under siege and shelling.
