*** Recent developments on the ground***

A military convoy left Al-Mazzeh Airport heading towards the city including 3 tanks, 2 BMP vehicles, 9 military vehicles and several troops carriers. The city witnessed intermittent artillery and mortar shelling. Most of the city’s fronts witnessed cautious calm interrupted by mutual sniper operations. Fourth Division Mountains and tanks located to the west of the city targeted the western front with tank and artillery shelling. The shelling resulted in the death of Jihad Abou Ghiath.

*** Humanitarian situation***

Daraya has been living for over eight months under tight siege stopping all necessities from reaching the city. Most food and medical supplies are running out while electricity, communications, and fuel are also completely cut off from the city.

The suffering of the displaced Darayans is increasing on a daily basis, especially those in neighbouring towns. More than 200,000 displaced people face unimaginable difficulties under siege and shelling.
