As has been the case for 8 months, a military convoy left Al-Mazzeh Airport heading towards the city including tanks, military vehicles and DShK vehicles. FSA fighters attacked these forces as intermittent clashes broke out on several fronts especially the western and southern fronts during which the area was shelled by tanks located along Jedaidah-Sahnaya Road. Mutual sniper operations also continued in the vicinity of Sukaina Shrine, Liberty Square and Thawra Street accompanied by RBG and B10 shelling.
Earlier this morning, helicopters continued to fly over the city while some neighbourhoods were shelled by heavy artillery causing several injuries.
*** Humanitarian situation***
Daraya has been living for over eight months under tight siege stopping all necessities from reaching the city. Most food and medical supplies are running out while electricity, communications, and fuel are also completely cut off from the city.
The suffering of the displaced Darayans is increasing on a daily basis, especially those in neighbouring towns. More than 200,000 displaced people face unimaginable difficulties under siege and shelling.
