|| Situation in the City and Countryside ||
¤ Hama City:
The situation in Hama is unchanging, as regime forces continue to carry out daily raids and arrests, and stop passersby at checkpoints throughout the city.
Assad regime forces were heavily deployed at the intersection of Souq al-Shajara and the automatic bakery. They gathered young men in the area to arrest them or take them for military service.
This morning, armed regime forces raided al-Qusour neighborhood in two Toyotas. They raided the following areas, and arrested more than 30 people.
1. Al-Khazzan Street
2. Next to Mahmoud al-Shaqfe Mosque
3. Behind al-Qusour Hall
4. Behind Granada garden
¤ Hama Countryside:
al-Hawwash Village:
Heavy artillery shelling of al-Hawwash village this morning led to the fall of a number of injuries and the destruction of some houses.
Aqrab:
At least 20 shells and missiles fell on Aqrab early today, as the town was under attack from the Hama Military Airport and from rocket launchers in the pro-regime village of Bayseen.
Eastern Hama Countryside:
The villages of Hama's eastern countryside were bombarded with artillery shells from al-Rahjan and al-Hamra checkpoints as warplanes hovered overhead.
Souha:
Regime forces stormed Souha, and burnt and looted the houses of civilians. They demolished a two-story house and burnt olive trees.
Dahsh:
Regime fighter jets attacked the village, destroying a number of houses
Bayoud:
Fighter jets bombarded the village this evening.
Kafranbooda:
A large fire erupted in Kafranbooda's farmlands as a result of gunfire from regime checkpoints in the surrounding area.
Mourek:
At 1 p.m. today, a group of shabiha from the village of Qamhaneh entered Mourek from the south in three cars. They were dressed in civilian clothes, and they stormed a building that served as a crushing center for pistachios. They arrested:
1. Mustafa Abdulmakeed al-Qasem al-Kahhas, age 33, owner of the center
2. Rami Abdulrazaq al-Tamer, born 1987, a worker at the center
3. Sami Abdulrazaq al-Tamer, born 1988, a worker at the center
4. Ali Mustafa Alloush, born 1986, a worker at the center
At the checkpoint south of Mourek, the forces allowed Sami and Ali out of the vehicle and told them to return, but the other detainees were not released.
Kafarzeita:
The city was heavily shelled with rockets this evening. No injuries were reported.
Salamieh:
A military convoy of pick-ups mounted with heavy machine guns, two tanks and a number of other military vehicles arrived and positioned in Jab Khsara village with a number of existing military vehicles and heavy weaponry.
Braideej:
Hundreds of hectares of wheat crops in the western and northern parts of the village were set on fire as a result of heavy shelling from regime checkpoints. Prior to the bombardment, security forces raided the village at 1 a.m. and arrested more than ten people.
