*** Recent developments on the ground***
Intermittent clashes and sniper operations between the FSA fighters and
regime forces supported by Hezbollah fighters occurred along several
fronts. This morning, the western front witnessed clashes at several
points, the fiercest of which was at near Alqitta Tissue Factory where
regime forces tried in a vain attempt to sneak into areas under FSA
fighters’ control. Intermittent clashes took place in the vicinity of
the alleged Sukaina Shrine, at Almaamil Road, and at Liberty Square
where regime forces bombed a house.
Most fronts were shelled using
artillery and B10 cannon fire causing one death and a number of
injuries. Houses of worship were not spared in the shelling; many shells
were targeted at Al-kabir Mosque and its surrounding.
