Regime forces have renewed their attempts to seize control of the city by sending tanks and military vehicles from Al-Mazzeh Airport. Several areas witnessed intermittent clashes while fierce fighting was recorded along Nahr Marwan Road on the western front where several regime fighters were killed.
Some areas were targeted by artillery shelling which caused considerable damage to buildings and infrastructure while reconnaissance aircrafts and helicopters flew over the city.
