*** Recent developments on the ground***
A press release issued by the National Coalition conveyed Daraya’s Local Council report about rockets loaded with toxic gases hitting the city and the resulting symptoms among the injured. The Coalition denounced the use of chemical weapons and appealed to the international community to dispatch a team of experts in order to investigate the incident expressing its full willingness to cooperate with them in collecting evidence. The escalation represented by the use of chemical weapons is the result of Daraya’s steadfastness in the face of the regime, the statement added. On day 166 of the campaign against Daraya, the regime’s forces attempted to storm the city from several fronts. Clashes broke out on several fronts while helicopters and reconnaissance aircrafts flew over the city for prolonged periods.
The western area was the subject of rocket launcher and artillery shelling coming from Regiment 153. An SSM also hit the southern area while shelling resumed around 9:00 pm and hit several areas including Fashoukh area between Daraya and Muaddamiya. As a result of this shelling 4 people died bringing the total number of fallen heroes today to 6:

*** Humanitarian situation***
An arrest campaign targeted people displaced from Daraya in Jedaidat Artouz area. More than 15 people were arrested.
The suffering of the displaced Darayans is increasing on a daily basis, especially those in neighbouring towns. More than 200,000 displaced people face unimaginable difficulties under siege, shelling and recurring massacres. People remaining inside Daraya are facing a far greater threat under siege and total absence of the basic necessities of life including electricity and water.

A few people are still suffering from toxic gas poisoning after yesterday’s attack. The medical team has been following up these cases closely with the aim of helping them achieve recovery
