***Headlines***
Attempts to seize control of the city continue; violent clashes on several fronts; one regime tank destroyed on the western front; extremely violent shelling using rocket launchers and heavy artillery; 4 air raids; 1 martyr and 13 injuries; widespread destruction in residential neighbourhoods; suffocating siege causes dire need in all necessities of life
*** Recent developments on the ground***
Day after day, the regime becomes even more resolute to seize control of the city which has proven indomitable for the past five months.
This morning, a military convoy headed towards the city coming from Al-Mazzeh Airport via the Southern Circular Road. The convoy consisted of 4 tanks, 2 BMP vehicles, 3 armoured-vehicles, 6 DShK vehicles, a number of ambulances, as well as a large number of personnel carriers (cars and buses). The huge military build-up on the southern front, supported by more than 30 military vehicles and huge numbers of troops, has been attempting to storm the city for 4 days.
Extremely violent clashes broke out along the southern and western fronts as FSA fighters repelled attacks by the regime. One T72 tank for the regime has been destroyed on Four Seasons road. Barbaric shelling using rocket launchers, heavy artillery, and tanks targeted the southern and western areas. The shelling has been the fiercest the city has witnessed in the past few weeks. 4 air raids were conducted against the city’s southern neighbourhoods causing widespread destruction. It is worth noting that 160 days of shelling have destroyed more than 70% of the city’s buildings and infrastructure.

*** Humanitarian situation***
We would like to draw attention to the suffering of the displaced Darayans especially nowadays during the shelling of the city of Jedaidat Artouz, Fadl Street where a large number of them live. News reports have revealed that mass executions have been committed against the civilians there including people from Daraya.
More than 200,000 displaced people live in neighbouring towns and face unimaginable difficulties under siege and shelling. People remaining inside Daraya are facing a far greater threat under siege and total absence of the basic necessities of life.
*** Medical Centre Report***
The medical team continues to provide all possible help to rescue and treat injured victims whether civilians or FSA fighters despite the extreme shortage in medical staff, equipment and material.
The field hospital received today 13 injured victims including children. The victims were rescued and given the necessary treatment and medication.
