|| Situation in the City and Countryside ||
¤ Hama City:
Today, more than ten men of military duty age were taken to al-Kawthar checkpoint on Salaheddine Street with their hands bound. Security forces deployed on al-Alamain Street in al-Shaikh Mohammad al-Hamed neighborhood and arrested men of military age as well. The campaign of raids and arrests in al-Qusour neighborhood that has gone on for more than 10 days continued today. Several houses in the Mahmoud al-Shaqfe area and al-Rahmeh area were raided, and five people were arrested.
¤ Hama Countryside:
Khattab:
This morning, Assad regime forces raided the town of Khattab, destroyed some houses and arrested a number of men. Three military vehicles and three bulldozers began demolishing some houses as snipers deployed on rooftops. They remained in the town for several hours before retreating.
Tayebt al-Imam:
Regime forces at the M'aardes checkpoint shelled the area west of Tayebt al-Imam, amid clashes between regime and opposition forces in the same direction.
Eastern Hama Countryside:
This morning, the regime's fighter jets shelled Buyoud village. Later in the day, two shells fired from al-Rahjan village also struck Buyoud as warplanes hovered overhead. Fighter jets also attacked the villages of al-Jabal and al-Taweeleh.
Soran:
Assad regime forces stormed Soran with tanks and arrested two members of the Qassem al-Mustawi family. They arbitrarily opened fire. As a result, residents fled from their houses and shops.
Jnan Village:
This afternoon, regime forces closed off all main and service roads leading to Jnan village using dirt barriers. One of the roads that was blockaded is the motorway leading from the Salamieh Motorway to Jnan, which is considered a main route into Jnan. To enter or leave, residents must now travel on al-Jajeyeh Road and pass through a regime checkpoint.
