|| Situation in the City and Countryside ||
¤ Hama City:
The situation in the city has not changed, as tension is high due to the regime's occupation of it. The following checkpoints were stopping and searching young men today: Cultural Center in Assi Square, al-Hadeed Bridge checkpoint in al-Qusour, Ain al-Louzeh Roundabout, al-Kawthar checkpoint in Salaheddine, Faisal al-Rekbi Roundabout and al-Harash in al-Shree'a, and Bilal Roundabout
Many warplanes were flying over the city at a low altitude this morning.
In the evening:
Heavy shelling from the Hama Military Airport toward the suburbs was reported.
Regime forces raided a number of buildings near Talhat al-Khair Mosque in al-Qusour neighborhood at around 9:30 p.m., and arrested at least two people. A 17-year-old boy was wounded in the neck as a result of gunfire by the sniper at the Qatranji building and is in critical condition.

¤ Hama Countryside:
Eastern Countryside:
FSA soldiers attacked the checkpoint in al-Rahjan village and captured a T-72 and burned the house of Defense Minister Fahd al-Jasem. A number of shabiha were either killed or wounded. As a response, the regime's Air Force shelled al-Ma'aqar and al-Shakouseyeh villages. FSA also attacked shabiha in Um Mayal village and seized three vehicles.
Abu Khanadeq village witnessed heavy shelling from the Saboura and al-Hamra area checkpoints. More than 12 shells fell in residential areas.
al-Sarh and al-Fayeh villages were shelled with cluster bombs, killing a man and wife and injuring ten others, including children in critical condition.
al-Bal'aas Mountain:
Two herders were killed as a result of the aerial shelling of the mountain. The martyrs are from al-Khdaira village. A number of others were wounded as well.

Northern Countryside:
Heavy rocket launcher, artillery and aerial shelling of Kafranbooda, Kernaz and al-Mugheer was reported today from al-Khazanat checkpoint and checkpoints in Deir mharde.
Kernaz has been under attack for 56 days now, and FSA forces are putting up a successful opposition front and have liberated a number of checkpoints in their pursuit of the northern suburbs of Hama.
Five cars of regime forces entered Tayebt al-Imam and went to the house of Mamdouh al-Touqani, who is 20 years old. They raided his house and arrested him.
In the evening, more than 10 missiles struck Kafarzeita in a 5 minute period. The shells were launched from Deir Mharde.
Shahshabo Mountain:
The villages of Shahshabo Mountain, particularly al-Qsabeyeh village, were targeted by rocket launchers.
Qastoun:
Warplanes launched four missiles onto the town. A number of people were wounded, some critically so. Some women's limbs were amputated as a result of shrapnel wounds.

al-Ghab Plain:
Rocket launcher shelling of the villages of al-Ghab Plain by regime forces in Braideej and al-Shaikh Hadeed was reported. The targeted villages were al-Hawweejeh, al-Hawwash and al-Hwaiz.
Tens of missiles fell on al-Hawwash village, leaving at least 15 people either dead or wounded and pushing residents to flee.

Safwan al-Shaikh Abboud was martyred on 18/03/2013 after being kidnapped by shabiha on Masyaf Road. He was killed under torture, as is apparent in the video, even after his family members paid the requested ransom.
