*** Military Centre Report***

Fierce clashes broke out in the morning along several fronts especially
in Aljamiaat area where FSA fighters destroyed a T72 tank and damaged
another while inflicting heavy losses and casualties on Assad’s forces.
Cautious calm prevailed later on most fronts.
Most areas of clashes were targeted by heavy shelling aiming to weaken the FSA.
In the evening, most vehicles that came in the morning returned to
Al-Mazzeh airport. Monitoring and follow-up units reported that two
tanks were damaged and had to be towed in addition to 4 BMP vehicles and
a large number of DShK vehicles and troop-carrying coaches.

This brings the battle for Daraya to the end of its 113th day, a battle
of resistance that dealt Assad’s regime heavy blows and inflicted heavy
casualties among its ranks. In view of this legendary steadfastness and
in order to utilise the considerable experience gained by FSA fighters, a
new armed formation has been declared. Shuhada Al Islam [Islam Martyrs]
Brigade is made up of 7 battalions active in Daraya in addition to
Artillery, Engineering and Air Defence companies.

*** Medical Centre Report***

As the battle for Daraya continues, and as the remaining civilians
suffer from indiscriminate shelling and sniper fire, the field hospital
continues to do its duty towards this great nation providing urgent
medical care for civilians and FSA fighters alike.
Today the
hospital received 4 victims. Most of the cases were in medium to
critical conditions. A woman hit by sniper fire underwent a surgical
operation. Amidst a dire lack of medical supplies, the victims were
rescued and given the necessary treatment and medication.

*** Humanitarian situation***

The humanitarian situation is increasingly getting worse for the people
of Daraya, whether they are still inside or displaced outside the city.

Around 10,000 people have been under siege inside the city for
over 112 days in complete power cut and total blocking of medical, fuel
and food supplies.
More than 200,000 displaced people are still
suffering the hard living conditions associated with displacement in
several areas in Damascus and Damascus Countryside. Most of them suffer
under the cold weather, lack of food, blankets and the basic necessities
of life. Many of them live in uninhabitable places. The cold weather
and lack of medical supplies causes the spread of winter diseases
especially among children.
