Local Council of Daraya City
Media Centre – Daily Report
November 26th, 2012
Military reinforcement has headed this morning towards the International Highway and the southern overpass. Regime forces have also attempted to invade the city from several directions supported by air cover.
For the tenth day in a row, fierce clashes have taken place between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and regime forces in the fields of Daraya and Kafr Sooseh, Qaws Daraya road, and the southern area. The FSA killed the sniper stationed in the industrial zone and many soldiers, destroyed three tanks and a troop carrier, and broke many other military vehicles. A tank and a group of infantry soldiers managed to sneak from the southern side, but the members of the FSA confronted them and destroyed the tank.
Clashes lasted till sunset for Assad forces to retreat after that.
For the fourteenth day in a row, Assad forces continued to bombard the city with heavy artillery and rocket launchers. MiG and Sokhoi fighter jets have launched several raids on the city and its fields.
The infrastructure is almost destroyed because of the fierce land and aerial bombardment by Assad forces.
A massacre has been perpetrated against 28 men from Daraya residents by Assad forces that arrested them a few days ago. Some of them were arrested around Daraya, and the rest from the surrounding towns to which they had fled earlier.
