Thirteen casualties were reported in the Damascus Suburbs on Tuesday, including a woman and two defected soldiers. Five rebel fighters were also killed during clashes between the regime's military and the Free Syrian Army. Dozens of injuries were reported during indiscriminate shelling attacks on residential areas; several residents are in critical condition as a result.



Al-Assad militias launched assault and detention raids in some areas, but most of their efforts were invested in the aforementioned military activities. Regime forces on rooftops and at security checkpoints opened heavy and indiscriminate gunfire to terrorize civilians and sealed all routes leading to the capital. Al-Assad military forces deployed security reinforcements across the suburban area and shelled residential areas using warplanes, tanks and heavy artillery.
