The 30th anniversary of the Hama massacre

Homs under fire, but there is hope still
Just like everyday, all one can hear in Homs is gunfire and explosions. In Karm al-Zeitoun and Rifai areas, there was heavy gunfire and bombing. Two bombs fell on the Computer Science Institute in Baba Amr, while Assad forces used medium and heavy weapons to open fire heavily in Bab Draib. The source of the gunfire was Abbassiya area, and included activity by snipers who were on top of buildings in the area, limiting movement in the area.
The neighborhood of Bistan al-Diwan was cleansed of the checkpoints that were terrorizing residents by continuously firing at homes and people, and the tanks and snipers.
In Rastan, the field hospital received tens of injured people, some of whom were in a critical condition. The injuries included one young man was shot in the head, others in the chest and side, a woman was shot in the stomach, and also included 3 children ages 2, 12, and 14. All the injuries were caused by snipers on top of the Athletic Club and targeted people during distribution of assistance and bread.
In Qusayr there was intermittent gunfire from heavy weapons in the National Hospital.
