The shelling which targeted residential neighbourhoods and the southern area originated from Al-Mazzeh Military Airport and tanks along Jedaidat Sahnaya Road. Meanwhile, regime helicopters conducted overflights over the city. The regime’s indiscriminate shelling against the Western Ghuta towns cause the death of Daraya man Abdulkareem Abu Issam, 67, who was in the Khan Al-Sheeh Camp when he died.

The humanitarian suffering in Daraya is only increasing these days as bitter cold hits the city. There is an absolute lack of food, medical and fuel supplies and the city has been without power, communications or drinking water for 13 consecutive months.
